Finished up poses and starting work on some inbetweens. Just noticed that he significantly changes size from beginning to end (woops!). Next time I'll have a model sheet on the bottom piece of paper on my lightbox. :)

Coonie's First Cookie (first draft)
Started drawing out poses tonight. I wanted to finish them up but I was growing tired and my drawings were getting sloppy. Perhaps tomorrow! I feel there's a couple frames where I could push the pose some more. It sure is fun to draw all this out and see it come to life! :)

Coonie's first Cookie (block)
Starting a new animation tonight... I've decided to block out the timing in flash. I'll do the "finished" pencil test with pencil and paper though. Any critiques would be welcome! Does it read right? How is the pacing?

Pencil Test hoo-rah
After over a month of having my nice light table all set up to do animation, I finally sat down and did something. There's a lot of things wrong with it... but I learned a ton and I'm happy with how some of it turned out. I could go back and fix the problems but I might just move on from this point.

Life Drawing Sketch Diaries
Hello! I've been reading Drawn to Life (Walt Stanchfield) a lot recently, and it's been a huge inspiration. I want to start working on 2D animation soon but my drawing skills need a lot of help. So I've started following Walt's notes to try and get better. Here is some gesture drawing as well as head studies and other randomness. I've switched to drawing strictly with a pen so I don't try to correct my mistakes, and boy are there a bunch of them! :) Here's hoping to a big improvement over the next few months!
